St. Michael

 

St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery is a functioning monastery in Kiev.
It is located in the historic administrative Upper town and overlooks the city's historical commercial and merchant quarter, the Podil neighbourhood.

 

 St.Sophia   

St. Sophia Cathedral is the oldest stone church on the territory of the east Slavs. Nearly 1000 years ago old it was the heart of the Old Russian state – its political, cultural and spiritual center. Original mosaics and frescos make it a unique destination that is included in UNESCO list of the World Heritage. 

  

LavraKiev-Pechersk (Cave) Monastery (Lavra) the greatest Orthodox sacred place - has been one of the most important places for all Orthodox faithful. It has a complex system of underground passages with numerous remains of the saints who lived as hermits in the caves. Their healing influence attracts thousands of pilgrims every year. Nowadays the large territory of the monastery hosts some very interesting museums: Museum of Historical Jewellery, Exhibition of Miniatures, Museum of Ukrainian Decorative Folk Art and others.

Maidan


Independence Square (Maidan)
is the main city square. People come here to breathe the distinctive and truly metropolitan air. Shopping, meeting people, chatting, sitting in numerous cafes and bars, open-air concerts on big holidays and what else – to feel the hectic rhythm of a modern big city. 

Andreevsky Descent 

 

Andreevsky Descent is a historic descent connecting Kiev’s Upper Town neighborhood and the historically commercial Podilneighborhood. It is a major tourist attraction of the city. Street vendors sell here souvenirs, artists offer their painting is art galleries or sitting outdoor. The locals could tell you different stories that happened here in history and literature. 

Saint Andrews Church
Saint Andrew's Church is a major Beroque church in Kiev.constructed in 1747–1754. The Saint Andrew's Church overlooks the historic Podil neighborhood, situated on a steep hill to which the church gave its current name — Andriyivska Hill. It is currently one of four architectural landmarks of Ukraine, which were put down on the List of Mankind Treasures of Five Continents by the world society
